Marianne Moreno has lived in Mexico, Washington, DC, Italy and currently resides in New York where she works as a full time artist. Using a bold color palette, she uses her canvas to tell stories; some are personal and some are universal.

Ms. Moreno holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and continued her graduate studies at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. Most recently, Marianne completed a year of independent study at SACI (Studio Art Center International in Florence, Italy). The Hispanic Heritage Foundation awarded Ms. Moreno a national award for the arts, which was aired live on NBC. This event recognized Latino/Latina achievers who demonstrated career accomplishments and community contributions in the following areas: Leadership, Sports, Literature, Education and the Arts.

Artists co-op debuts at LaMantia Gallery
It was a match made in heaven: a group of artists looking for gallery space and a gallery loking to regularly showcase the talents of local artists. And so, The Firefily Artists cooperative was born. Its new home in LeMantia Gallery located at 127 Main Street in Northport Village.
